This weekend, I am hoping to get in some artwork. Namely, I need to get up the classroom demo thingy I was slotted to do on acrylics, on an art forum site. I have atleast gotten that partly started.
There is also an upcoming show I enter every Spring, which I do sometimes and don't other times, get one or both pieces that I enter, accepted. I need to decide what I am entering and get that organized.
I had wanted to begin my oil painting but I may have to put that on further hold till late Spring. We'll see. I was looking forward to just diving in to that.
This past weekend, I was in the garage, getting the lawn mower and such, when I noticed my husband's bunker stuff from work. He rarely has it here, it usually stays at the hall. However, sometimes he is sent to another hall as acting captain, or when he is off, he brings it home. I liked the way it was sitting so I photographed it. I have one of his coat and stuff hanging off the mirror of a fire truck from years ago, and I do want to one day do a fire dept. themed painting. This one here is a bit more boring colour wise though. The other one is way more interesting, with the reds and golds and all, but I only have it in hard copy photo printing, from way back, when I had an old Nikon SLR only. I also shot a shot with all the crap on my poor baby Mazda :-( I usually try to avoid looking at it when I go in to the garage lol! One day, it'll come back out. My husband wants to paint it a light copper some time in the future. It's in great shape but needs a heat shield replaced and a little teeney bit of body work on the front underneath piece, where it connects by bolts. My son wants it when he drives but I doubt That'll happen lol!
For some reason, this week, I've also been in a little bit of one of my "I am a bit irritated and sick of people" mode. I get impatient and crabby like that 2-3 times a year, mostly with strangers, but it can very rarely be frineds or family. Hopefully, it'll clear by the weekend! Usually, mainly through constant advice coming from my husband, who hates negativity, my positive attitude sometimes needs conscious boosting. My husband feels negativity, whining, and complaining are often very pointless uses of energy.
